After completion of the 10 hour course, participants should be able to:

Apply knowledge of medical conditions with implications to driving
Assess the cognitive, visual, perceptual, behavioral and physical limitations that may impact driving performance
Integrate the clinical findings with assessment of on-road performance

Event Description : This course will focus on providing therapists with various treatment ideas to improve function for patients with CVA, TBI, and other neurological deficits. The latest research and evidence will be highlighted emphasizing the importance of neuroplasticity and motor learning, including the specifics of how to integrate the research into the realities of practice. The presentation includes the use of updated digital video to practice movement analysis and demonstrate the impact of different interventions. Using attendees’ case examples, common impairments causing functional limitations will be identified and various treatment options will be discussed considering the level of the patient and clinic setting.
